LINDIE TRELEAVEN
Lindie Treleaven is an oil painter, known for her landscape, seascape and harbour artworks, often painted en plein air (outdoors). She is an active member of the Sydney art community and holds a leadership position with the Mosman Art Society.
She specialises in Australian landscapes, seascapes and harbour scenes, with an emphasis on light, shadow and perspective. Her work often features locations around Sydney, such as Mosman, Manly and North Head, as well as regional NSW areas like Moonbi and Murringo. Her subject matter is generally a place of connection and familiarity.
Lindie primarily works with oil on board and is a keen advocate for plein air painting, capturing scenes directly from life. To Lindie, there is nothing more satisfying than the immediacy of painting an interesting cloud formation, the transient natural light and colour of the day, or the thrill of quickly painting in a passing boat.
