Featuring the works of SRG artists, Jessica Watts, Monique Tyacke, Fiona Chandler, Amanda Tye, Marilou Palazon, Ben Waters, and Sarah Montgomery with special guest artists, Charles Smith, Larissa Warren, Whitney Spicer, Mia Oatley, Joshua Bollback Butler, Renate Rienmueller, Madeleine Shaw and Catriona Pollard, Still Life explores a view we’ve all now become familiar with—inanimate objects captured in posed composition. However, the artists aim to inspire and delight with a reframing of an ordinary perspective. From found shells collected on the beach to the native plants beginning to bloom, it is art that is reflective of how life can offer an access point that greets its viewer. Above all else, Still Life reminds us to appreciate the stillness of life; the beauty in the everyday moments.
