It's always exciting to have a concept show. Each year when the subject is announced it creates a lot of discussion between our artists. The value in this show is working with the other artists and our curator. Artists often work across various mediums, styles, and concepts, some of which may take years to develop and complete. This exhibition is a reflection of their creative journeys and the evolution of their ideas over time.
We don't often see them, sometimes they're projects that they work slowly on over years and years. Not always with a view to exhibit.
The show is super, super exciting. It is not all available for sale. It's all available for enjoyment.
There's some ephemeral pieces that may never be seen again. Pop on by, it's one of those shows where you walk around with your hands behind your back because you just want to touch all the textures. The shapes are gorgeous. We've introduced Kate Stehr to the gallery - come and see her work it’s the epitome of re-use.
