In the hours spent creating this three-part series I reflected on how easily we overlook the parts of the natural world that quietly sustain us, shaping Australia’s beauty, balance and the very survival of life around us. These works capture intimate moments in the life of one of nature’s silent choreographers, the bumblebee. Each painting invites the viewer to pause, look closer and see beyond the obvious, to notice the delicate beauty of Australia’s wildlife and foster a deeper respect for the intricate systems that support it.
